The Iliad Epic, Part 4 Kasandra's ability to predict the future

Kasandra possessed a legendary beauty, but Kassandra took a vow of virginity and chose not to marry anyone. God Apollo was enamored with Kassandra and desired to be with her. However, Kassandra said to Apollo, "If you grant me the ability to see the future, I will be with you." Apollo granted Kassandra this ability. However, foreseeing that Kassandra would betray him, Apollo spat into Kassandra's mouth.

Armed with the ability to see the future, Kassandra resisted being with Apollo, as he had predicted. Yet, the divine saliva in Kassandra's mouth cast doubt on the information about the future she shared, leaving no one to believe her. The tumultuous interplay between her extraordinary beauty and prophetic gift became a poignant reflection of her existence, etching a tragic narrative into the fabric of her life.
